Club Social
New York City's premiere Social Skills Group for Children
Club Social's Mission
Club Social is a social pragmatics group designed to help teach children social skills and maximize their language-based social thinking abilities. Club Social’s goal is to help children create positive social interactions with peers and adults while also giving them skills to be able to identify emotions / feelings that occur in day to day life as well as in stories and academic contexts.
Club Social was built around the concept that social skills and relationship building needs to be explicitly taught to some learners. The foundation of the social club is a comfortable environment where social skills can be taught, practiced and used right away. It is our belief that skills get stronger by using them, that we improve our social skills when we have opportunities to be social. Our mission is to give children the tools they need to succeed socially and feel confident in those tools to keep on using them.
